At Farfalla we believe in taking care of ourselves as a WHOLE. Taking care of your mind, body and spirit is a fundamental part of achieving TOTAL WELLNESS.

A peaceful place to start is with your mind. Spending time sitting still and focusing on your breath, even for just 10 minutes a day, will have such a beautiful affect on calming your mind and settling your nervous system.

Here we list the amazing benefits of meditation:

* Stress reducer: including being helpful for those who suffer anxiety.

* Encourages ‘Divergent Thinking’. Promoting abilities to think creatively and outside-the- box

* Improves Concentration: After just 11 hours of meditation, neuroscientists noticed changes in the brain matter, in the areas that are in charge of focus and self control!

* It promotes self awareness. Meditation helps us get to know ourselves a little more, which in turn helps us create blossoming relationships with loved ones and others around us. Furthermore it can provide us with the tools needed to help us make decisions that nourish our own happiness.

* Slows down the aging process – That’s right!! We aren’t suggesting that it helps you live for longer, however the act of meditating works like a preservation method. Helps us work on preserving ourselves and our energies, guiding us to use them efficiently in the appropriate areas of our life

We are VERY excited to share with you, something our wonderful leader, Emanuela, has shared with us. Emanuela has been volunteering at the Isha Foundation Ashram in India, and for some time now she has been encouraging us to take time-out and meditate! Emanuela has spoken with such passion about the Isha Kriya guided meditation and the abundance of benefits it provides. So, we got inspired and tried it out!!!
